Thank you for re-hashing the same information that Kevin already shared with us. Strangely yours came up just a few minutes after his. I'm sure it was just a coincidence....again.... |

Agreed, Garth is finally finding his place, the basement. Reported on this following Kevin, and Kevin broke the Hackett signing news first as well. Not to mention, Kevin's grammar, vocabulary, and overall writing ability far surpass Garth's. If we can get another blogger half as talented as Kevin, we may finally rid ourselves of Garth and his constantly edited blogs/blog renaming. |

I don't think Cody would get what Gagner got in arbitration. He's probably got a higher ceiling but he's not nearly as proven yet. If he gets what he's worth in arbitration it's probably close to $3.5M. |

CoHo > Gagner, I've seen them both play...once CoHo gets used to his coaching staff, he'll have a break out year, Gagner would be a 3rd line centre on most teams...Oilers lack centre depth right now though...if they fail again this year and get a C to replace horcoff, they would have been fine with out Gagner...but he's their only choice right this second...kinda like bozak in Toronto...their only real choice...they're starting to get a few more options in toronto though...but ya CoHo is better than Gagner...hopefully buffalos coaching staff doesnt mess his progression up |

Don't let Hodgson's agent see this...He'll ask for even more money that he currently is... |

Hodgson wasn't eligible for arbitration. It's up to Darcy to figure out his worth. Personally I'd like to see some sort of bridge type contact. Something that's like 2 years $3 mil or so per. I think that would benefit both sides. I don't know that Hodgson would go for it though. |

he's just coming off his entry level. if he signs something short term, he'll be eligible after it. I get the feeling it's gonna be something higher than what I'd like it to be though. |

RDS reports that Hackett has agreed to a two year deal, good for one year and $715,000.
Good god does Darcy's contract negotiations really suck. |
